NobodyWho Chat collects no personal data. All AI processing happens on your device. Nothing you say or type ever leaves your device. We have no servers, no accounts, and no analytics. The only information that ever leaves your device is anonymous crash diagnostics, described in detail below.
1. Who we are
NobodyWho Chat is developed and distributed by NobodyWho. NobodyWho is an inference engine that lets you run LLMs locally and efficiently on any device.
This Privacy Policy applies solely to the NobodyWho Chat application available on the Apple App Store (iOS) and the Google Play Store (Android). It does not apply to any other products or services we may offer.
2. Information we collect
We collect no personal data. The only data that ever leaves your device is anonymous, non-personal crash diagnostics. The table below documents every category of data and its handling:

The AI model file is downloaded once over Wi-Fi from Hugging Face. This download is a one-way transfer of a static file — we do not log your identity, IP address, or device identifiers in connection with this download beyond what the App Store and Google Play infrastructure inherently processes (see Apple's and Google's privacy policies for details).
3. Crash reporting
NobodyWho Chat uses Sentry, a third-party crash-reporting service, to collect anonymous crash diagnostics. If the app crashes or encounters a fatal error, Sentry receives a technical report so we can find and fix bugs.
These crash reports contain only non-personal technical information such as the type of error, the line of code where it occurred, the app version, the operating system version, and the device model. They do not contain your prompts, your messages, AI responses, your conversation history, your name, your email, or any other information that could identify you personally.
Crash data is processed by Sentry on our behalf and is used solely to diagnose and fix stability problems. Sentry's handling of this data is governed by Sentry's Privacy Policy. We do not use crash data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than improving the app.
4. How the app works
NobodyWho Chat runs a language model entirely on your device's processor. When you type or dictate a message, your input is processed on your device's chip, a response is generated on your device's chip, and the result is displayed on your device's screen.
At no point in this chain does any of your conversation data travel over a network. There are no API calls to external AI services, no relay servers, and no logging of your prompts or responses. Your messages are never used for crash reporting.
Once the AI model is downloaded, the app functions with no internet connection. You can use it on a plane in airplane mode, in a remote wilderness, or anywhere without cellular or Wi-Fi coverage. (Crash reports, when they occur, are sent the next time your device has a network connection.)
5. Data sharing & third parties
We share no personal data with any third party, because we collect none. There are no advertising SDKs, no analytics platforms, and no data brokers involved in the operation of this app.
The third-party relationships relevant to this app are:
- Apple and Google, which distribute the app through the App Store and Google Play and process your purchase. Their data practices are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.
- Sentry, which processes anonymous crash diagnostics on our behalf, as described in section 3.
We do not sell, rent, license, or trade any user data.
6. Children's privacy
NobodyWho Chat does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Since we collect no personal data, no special handling is required — though parents should be aware that, like any general-purpose AI assistant, the app's outputs may occasionally be unsuitable for young children.
7. Security
Because your conversation data never leaves your device, traditional concerns about server-side data breaches, unauthorized access, or data interception in transit do not apply to your prompts and messages.
Data stored on your device (such as saved conversations, if you choose to retain them) is protected by your platform's on-device encryption and is subject to your device's passcode and biometric protections. We encourage you to keep your device updated with the latest software.
8. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including access, correction, deletion, or portability of personal data. Because NobodyWho Chat holds no personal data about you on any server, and crash reports are anonymous and cannot be tied to you, there is nothing personally identifying for us to provide, correct, or delete on our end.
Any conversations or data stored locally on your device can be deleted by uninstalling the app from your device, or by clearing app data through your device's settings. This is entirely within your control.
9. Data retention
We retain no personal user data. Any conversations stored on-device persist only as long as you choose to keep them, and uninstalling the app removes all app data from your device. Anonymous crash diagnostics are retained by Sentry according to its standard retention schedule and are used only to diagnose stability issues.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we ever make material changes — particularly any change that would result in us collecting data that we currently do not — we will notify you prominently within the app.
Your continued use of NobodyWho Chat after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
